A little catch up...

I am going to post a lot a pictures and try to catch ya'll up a little bit...

Starting with the goodie I found today...

My plans are to sand it a bit, secure down the shelves, paint it red and put it in Jaxson's new fireman bedroom. Now, first I should say I have EVERYTHING I need to complete this bedroom except the room painted!!! I just can't bring myself to do that. I don't exactly know why but I have been putting it off for a while now. Here is a preview of the other elements for his room...

Thanks to my very good and talented friend Kim Wheeler he will have this "J" hanging above his twin bed!!!

This is his Vintage firetruck bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. I have the comforter as well. He LOVES it!!! He will also have a train table that is currently being stored in the garage... it will have some fixing up as well and instead of putting trains on it I am going to have a fire station with firetrucks and ambulances!!! I can't wait to post pictures of the finished product!

On to my Lizzie girl!!! Lizzie started 1st grade this year!!! So far she loves her teacher and all is well. Here is a picture of her on her first day!!! Look closely and you can tell she lost her first tooth!!!

I remember posting about the kids birthday parties in a blog a while back... so here is a shot of Jaxson dressed up as Micky Mouse...

And last and I mean last hehe our Mad Man... I havent posted hardly any pictures of him.. and I feel so bad about it!!! Here are a few for your viewing pleasure....

THE BUS!

Okay, I feel like today was the first day I really " let go" of my baby girl. She started riding the school bus today for the first time. I have ALWAYS taken her to school and been right there in the pick up line at the end of the day, but today was different! To top it all off as we were walking to the bus with the other neighborhood kids... I said wait wait I need a hug... she didnt even turn around to say bye... she was just GONE! There I was on the curb just wanting to ball my eyes out partly because I no longer was in control of her transportation but mostly because she didnt even say bye. She has been SO excited about riding the bus. We literally live in the neighborhood across from the school so she gets picked up at 7:30 and she is home by 3:30. Also , my neighbors two kids ride the bus with her so she was super excited about that. The bus thing just really seems to easy especially with the boys schedules and not to mention the gas it burns sitting in the line for 30 mins or longer to pick her up!!! Oh yeah did I even mention that before! There are 9 first grades and no telling how many more upper grade levels since this year she gets out with allllllll the other kids! So, I decided that since the bus picks her up and drops her off right in front of my house... let me say that again... right in front of my house.... I couldnt resist her begging! So, today I let my only little girl ride that big ole yellow bus!

Back....again

Yep, it's officially been for-e-v-e-r since I have even looked at this blog! I must say though after reading my last post I actually got some of the things mentioned done!!! I DID get rid of the nasty nasty carpet and put down laminate floors! Yay me! I also painted the entire down stairs. I will post pics as soon as I get it all decorated and the way I WANT IT ( ha ha Kim) !
Jaxson had his 2nd birthday party during my disappearance. He is absolutely obsessed with Mickey Mouse so we had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party and he guest of honor showed up dressed as Mickey himself!!!! His grandmother Whitt and his aunt Holly had everything to do with that! I even had no clue! He was precious and he had a great time! Also during my disappeareance Mitchell and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything fancy. He did take me out to eat!
Lizzie had her birthday as well. We trucked to Franklin for her party! She wanted a sweet and sassy salon party! Can I say there isnt a more girly place on the freakin planet! It was too cute! She is now 6 and about to start 1st grade! I have a 1st grader??!!??!! Does that even seem possible? Where does the time go?
Speaking of where does the time go.... we are about to celebrate Maddox's 1st birthday.
How sad can I be???? My baby is turning 1 and then I won't have anymore babies!!!!!!! I will not know what to do without a baby! I have had one for so long!!!! One part of me is relieved but one part of me is sad because its the end of all that and on to raising them through childhood! SCARY!!!!!

I'M BACK!!!

I'M BACK!!!

Ok, so I was tired of being harrassed because I was not blogging so here I am. I'm back! Never thought people would look at this thing but guess they really do!!! Lot's has happened in the few short months I took a break from my blogging... Christmas, which was great as always. The kids got WAAAAAAAAAY to much (as always) and of course the new year began! So far this year things havent changed much but that won't be that way for long!!! In the next few weeks we will be painting the living room/dining room combo and putting in hard wood!!! Can I get a Whoop Whoop!!!! I am so freaking excited about the new floor!!! This carpet MUST and I say MUST go!!!
I'm trying to decide on a paint color.... any ideas??? Remember I have sea green couches... ideas are welcome!!! Something light..... right now they are brown and I'm ready to lighten the room up!
Next on the list is Jaxson's 2nd birthday at the end of this month. April 28 he will be 2 and we will be throwing a Mickey Mouse birthday party!!! Then, we have Miss Lizzie's 6th birthday in May and she will be having a party at a kids salon in Franklin! She's quite our little diva and last but not least of our birthday celebrations we have precious Maddox's 1st birthday the 21st of July... and somewhere in the middle of all that Mitchell and I will try to find the time to celebrate our 3rd anniversary.
Something exciting... Mitchell and I are taking a road trip to Tunica, Mississippi April 12 for a concert and while I am relaxing at the spa Mitchell is going to the shooting range for some one on one time with his other baby... his gun!!!
So, right now that is all that is going on with us. I will post some recent pictures of the kids soon.
